3dont buy a new pump fix the one u have!May 31, 2014
By kevin
i bought my pool 3 years ago. its holding up amazingly well, but after the first season the pump stoped pumping. i rigged up a different pump to get it through the summer, but with the old pump still in place it caused to much restriction and burned up the external pump. just got the pool set up for the 3rd season and found this repacement for an outrageous price! i decided to investigate the problem and see if i could save some cash. if u remove the 4 screwws on the top or the pump you eill find a plastic impeller and a magnet on a metal shaft. if u take the little rubber bushings off it will all come apart and you will see a small tab on the magnet that spins the impeller when the motor is running. if u look inside the impeller you will most likely notice that the opposing tab that used to be ther but has sheered off...well, its sheered off. to fix this i just drilled a small hole in the impeller where the tab used to be and inserted a small stainless steel screw then i filled down the head so the impeller would still fit down into the motor casing. took me about fifteen mins to find the problen gather a few tools and whalaa! pump is installed and workin perfectly !

Bought a pool that came with this pump about 5 days ago and pump is already burned out. Company says a warranty turn around is 2-3 weeks. Bought at Wal-Mart....where else?! AVOID THIS PRODUCT AND BRAND!!

4How to do a HARD reset if your pump wont startJul 19, 2014
By Diane Angiolillo
Ok....So IF YOUR PUMP "BURNED OUT" after a few uses, this is how to get it restarted, because in reality, IT HASN'T BURNED, you just need to do a HARD QUICK START! Plug pump in (Don't disconnect anything from the pool!) HOLD TEST BUTTON DOWN for 20-30 seconds. Now (letting up on test button), HOLD RESTART BUTTON DOWN for 20-30 seconds. (Hopefully, your pump is now functioning again.) This can be done whenever your pump has shut down due to "over heating", just be sure you've allowed it to cool down before you hard reset. ☺️
